Providing fastener solutions for over 30 years.Herb Somers founded Mid-States Bolt & Screw in 1972 and quickly became regarded as THE person to go to for quality product and superb service throughout the state of Michigan. To meet increased demand, Herb moved Mid-States out of his garage and into a building on Dort Highway in Flint in 1973.
Mid-States Bolt and Screw incorporated in 1976 and have since moved our headquarters twice to accommodate expansion of our fastener solutions and customer base.
To better serve customers, Mid-States has over the years strategically
opened facilities throughout the state and most recently in North Carolina.
We operate six Michigan branches in Saginaw, Lansing, 
Gaylord, Shelby
and Niles; in addition to our 72,500 square foot Flint headquarters. Our
seventh and newest branch is located in Statesville, North Carolina.
We also manage Customer dedicated facilities in North Carolina,
California and throughout Michigan.
Scott Somers, Herb’s oldest son, began working at Mid-States while still in high school and is now President. Matt and Marc Somers have also worked at Mid-States since the late 1970’s and now both serve as Vice Presidents.
