Industrial distributor seeks full-time Purchasing Agent at our Corporate Office in Burton, MI. Mid-States Bolt & Screw Co. has been providing fastener solutions for over 35 years originally founded in 1972. In keeping with our commitment to our customers we are looking for a professional and knowledgeable Purchasing Agent with experience purchasing industrial fasteners. The successful Candidate will have extensive Industrial Fastener, Hardware, Tool and MRO procurement experience. Specifically 2 - 3 years of industrial fastener purchasing experience. A dynamic personality, professional demeanor, negotiation and vendor relationship management skills. Demonstrated success in negotiating with vendors. Superior communication skills; a team player. This candidate will have an above average level of computer software knowledge, preferably using Prophet 21. In addition, knowledge of Inventory Management practices.
